Colby’s Assistant Director of Off-Campus Study, Allyson Hawkins, will open a panel discussion featuring three students with distinct study abroad experiences. In addition to general reflections on the value of study abroad, Hawkins and the students will offer their reflections on local perceptions of government and politics in the nations where they studied. Panelists include:
Olchey Tchavyntchak studied in a multi-country program in Hanoi, Vietnam; Cape Town, South Africa; and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Daniel Sweeney studied on a program called "Learn Russian in the EU" and was in Daugavpils, Latvia.
Anela Gallegos studied for a full year in Tokyo, Japan.
