ABOUT DAY'S JEWELERS
Day’s Jewelers is a chain of full-service jewelry stores located in Maine and New Hampshire. It is a family business founded in Portland, Maine, in 1914 by the Davidson family and later purchased by the Corey family in 1988. In 2021, Day’s became 100% employee-owned. The company also operates an e-commerce website, www.daysjewelers.com. Day's is noted for professionalism and for its commitment to social, ethical and environmental responsibility.

OUR MISSION
Day's mission is "to build a company that stands the test of time". Our uncompromising commitment to continually exceed customer expectations has been the cornerstone of the Day's brand for over 100 years. We believe that your jeweler should be your professional consultant, much like your doctor, attorney and accountant.

Value

"We promise to always provide the best value in our goods and services."

It is our commitment to provide fine quality jewelry that will last for generations at a fair price. We do so through efficient cost management and purchasing products as close to the source as possible.  We will not mark prices up just to put them on sale to make you feel like you're getting a "deal." We want you to fall in love with a piece and know you're paying what it is really worth.

Opportunity

"We promise to provide everyone with the opportunity to own fine jewelry."

Everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy and experience fine jewelry to commemorate special moments in life. Day's offers one of the largest collections of jewelry in America in a wide range of prices. Day's also provides easy payment terms through our layaway plan and in-house charge account program.

Trust

"We promise to always conduct business in an environment of trust and transparency."

Day's is committed to fostering healthy, meaningful relationships with our vendors, employees, customers and our communities. Trust and transparency will always be the fundamental core of our relationships.

Sentiment

"We believe the true value of a piece of jewelry is not in its price, but what it means to the person who wears it."

We know that every piece of jewelry is worn to represent love, a relationship or a special accomplishment in life. We promise to treat every piece of jewelry, regardless of cost, with the respect it deserves. Whether you come to a Day's store or shop at www.daysjewelers.com, you will receive personal attention from a Personal Shopper to help you choose a piece that embodies the sentiment it is intended for.

Simple, Natural & Back to the Basics

Hi There, and thanks for checking out our website!

Our small family business was born from the need to find a way to help improve the skin health of our two youngest children. They both navigate life with many food allergies, asthma, and severe eczema. We had spent years trying all the hypoallergenic over the counter moisturizers with little to no improvement. They often just sting, leaving the skin more irritated. With a combined 20-year background in healthcare and cosmetology, this Mama got to work!

What is tallow? Tallow is put simply rendered animal fat, most commonly from beef. It contains all the same vitamins, minerals and healthy fats that our skin has, making it the most biologically compatible with us. It truly is a super skin food!

I source my suet from a local butcher and process it to produce my own tallow for all the skincare products I make, for the highest quality possible. We found that the beef tallow skincare products I was making were gentle, soothing, and a game changer when added to their skincare routine. They do not fix the eczema, but where the MOST helpful and moisturizing for them. We started selling our skincare 3 years ago to help others with super sensitive skin, and to help bring back the use of tallow! We began selling at 1 market per week, and now you can find us at 20 stores throughout the states.

Our logo is a heritage breed turkey, which I get questions about often! It simply stands for traditional ways and ingredients. Which is fitting since tallow has been used since ancient times but was left behind during the industrial revolution when goods became mass produced for as cheap as possible and ingredient quality has continually become poorer ever since.

It truly is a family business! Each jar of lotion is hand piped, each soap hand cut, and all formulated simply and with purpose. All the kids help in various ways including labeling, marketing, sorting, and helping at events and farmers markets throughout the year. The best part is hearing from a customer that their skin or their child's skin has improved! It's just close to my heart, because I have been THAT parent before. Searching and trying anything to help make their baby's skin a "little happier".

We also produce small amounts of organically grown garlic, lamb and poultry meat on our tiny farm.

Maine Grains, Inc./The Millers Table

OUR MISSION AND GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Maine Grains serves bakers, brewers, chefs and families freshly-milled, organic and heritage grains sourced from the Northeast.
By re-localizing grain production and milling we support the health and livelihood of the farmers and communities we serve. Our traditional stone milling process ensures nutrient-packed products that are full of flavor and perfect for natural fermentation baking and cooking.
Maine Grains is creating jobs, improving land use, and providing healthy food for all while serving as a successful model for thriving local economies.z

Our Grain
Nourishing, Flavorful, Fresh
Maine Grains manufactures locally grown stone-milled grains, a staple food in the human diet. Nature knows a good thing. We mill whole grain into flour that is unadulterated, perfectly fresh, and full of flavor. Our grain is packed with vitamins & minerals, like vitamin B, zinc & magnesium. Whole grains are plentiful in protein, healthy fats and oils, and fiber.

Sticking With Stones
We choose age old technology with fresh intention, in an effort to build a lasting agricultural economy for the seed sowers and bread makers of the future.

Through use of our traditional stone milling process, we preserve the exceptional flavor and nutrition inherent in the grain. Slow turning mill stones keep the flour cool which improves performance in natural fermentation baking and enhances flavor. Our freshly milled flour is ideal for all-purpose baking and cooking.

From Field To Loaf
New England has a rich history of producing grains like oats, rye, wheat, corn, and buckwheat. Maine Grains is reviving this tradition to ensure that nutritious local grains are available and affordable for our community. Outside of commodity pricing and markets, Maine Grains works directly with each of its farmers to create transparent, sustainable, and economically feasible trade relationships. Farmers supplying Maine Grains pledge never to use chemical fertilizers or pesticides on their grain crops. The Maine Grains milling facility is certified organic through the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association.

CARING - NATURAL - SCIENCE-BASED - SMALL BATCH - MULTI-AWARD WINNING

We are a Maine-based, family-run skincare company that is driven by a desire to help people with their skin complaints. In fact, the first product our founder, Kristin Mutchler (AKA 'Pickle'), created for sale was the 'Eczema Elixir', a salve formulated to treat her own baby daughter's dermatitis. This was (and still is) made with medicinal herbs from her own gardens. Over a decade later, Pickle's Potions now boasts a complete skincare range with more than 60 international product awards! However, those products are still made by Pickle's own hands, with ingredients cultivated by us and by local farms, in genuine small, fresh batches, with the aim of offering similar relief to you and your loved ones that Kristin was able to provide for her daughter and herself.

When we are not cultivating herbs and flowers in our gardens, formulating products, or consulting with clients, we can be found at our store front in Winthrop and a host of festivals and events around our beautiful state.
